Britain to be first country to monitor every car journey
'It is most interesting that only last week, in the UK, it was announced that speed cameras may have come to the end of their useful life. Perhaps, we now know why ... The contents of this email from the (UK) Independent newspaper published today, is disturbing. (see below)
How far down the totalitarian police state do we have to go before we voice our objection? Or is it already too late? The 'story' in the article, to justify monitoring all traffic in the UK by CCTV, is that this is all in the name of counter-terrorism. But what if masked drivers then steal cars to commit the crime? As with all other stories put out in the name of protecting the public, is this yet another move towards the ultimate police state, microchipping of the entire population and one world order? This was predicted at least 10 years ago and people laughed . Will those same people laugh now?
Consider three major points:
1) Organised crime undoubtedly has the technology to hack into any held database, government or otherwise, (plus they may have 'sleepers' in positions of authority already!!).
2) The same surveillance will capture all police activity, giving organised crime the edge over the police and all citizens!
3) One of the truths behind this façade would be the ultimate aim to keep track of all civil liberty activists when the proverbial hits the fan.
Is the network of blue cameras dotted all over the country part of this? Which country will be next?'
