DaimlerChrysler set to be main winner under new DAX weightings on Dec 19

FRANKFURT (AFX) - DaimlerChrysler AG (Xetra: 710000 - news) is set to be the main winner of the old DAX 30 (Xetra: news) members under new index weightings that take effect on Monday, according to provisional data released by Deutsche Boerse AG (Xetra: 581005 - news) this morning.
The new weightings of Frankfurt indices will be based on Friday's Xetra
closing prices.
According to the provisional data, DaimlerChrysler's weighting will move up 0.60 percentage points to 7.10 pct, while Muenchener Rueckversicherungs AG's weighting will rise 0.49 percentage points to 4.13 pct.
Meanwhile, Volkswagen AG (Xetra: 766400 - news) is set to be the main loser, with its weighting
falling 0.46 percentage points to 1.32 pct, while ThyssenKrupp AG (Xetra: 750000 - news) 's weighting is expected to slip 0.05 percentage points to 1.18 pct.
New DAX member Hypo Real Estate Holding AG, which replaces HVB Group AG on the same date the weightings take effect, is expected to have a weighting of 1.05 pct.
Siemens (Xetra: 723610 - news) , whose weighting is set to rise 0.06 percentage points to 10.30 pct, is expected to be the heaviest weighted DAX component, followed by utility giant E.ON AG at 10.02 pct, an increase of 0.05 percentage points.
