Dana, production growth a certainty
Pippin - Tue, 31 Dec 02 :
You may have started a crusade this month, wan, but there's little new in it. All the potential upside was bleeding obvious a year ago (and most of it two years ago) and it was ignored then, to my chagrin. You are puffing it up very well, but you're not exactly being balanced. You give the impression of a man who's put his house on it and is going to push, push, push until the momentum stops, then get out. There are downsides too. If you want to be taken seriously by bigger players, it would be good to hear some downsides from you too, even if you bring them up to knock them down. And don't forget how much of what you're saying is very much in the public domain, already. Most of it IS in the share price already. And short term oil prices are a poor reason to justify buying an E & P. I agree with bomfin that the possible limits on Venezuelan production could be highly significant though, which is why I am reading this thread.
Given up on EDG, bomfin? I haven't, not by a long chalk. I still expect £4 in two years, if they're not taken out!
