What's changed in my opinion is -

VPC have got their act together.

Last time they were trying it on.

This time they've got a rig in Southern North Sea for 2 years.

This time DNX have built a serious gas position in the Southern North Sea.

VPC have gained the upper hand in the GKA area through their buying of the Christian and Bligh discoveries which can be developed through Kittiwake. As operator they can move to these developments for the next add ins after Grouse and Goosander. Hence the slow down in appraisal of Whinchat and Wagtail??
