DA GROUP
INCREASE
MARKET
PRESENCE
It’s been a hectic few months over at DA
Group as the company announced a raft of
new mobile character products and inked a
number of new contracts for its Yomego
brand.
On the product front, Yomego Themes
allows users to completely change the look
of their mobile phone and get an entirely
new interface from just one download. The
first Yomego Theme to be launched is
Fantasy Babe for Nokia and Sony Ericsson
handsets. Mobile Themes can also be
created to support any brand or marketing
campaign.
Yomego MCards is a download product
for all colour handsets that lets mobile
users easily create and send captivating and
colourful 3D animated messages. MCards
has a variety of different cards to suit
different moods, including cute,
provocative or insulting messages, letting
mobile users express their feelings.
Yomego Watchtones lets users have a
ringtone with a difference. The ringtones
combine sound, colour and animation and
when a call is received the mobile will play
a video with eye-popping visuals as well as
a killer soundtrack. A selection of Yomego
Watchtones featuring various characters will
be released over the coming months and, as
with all Yomego products, they can be
reskinned to support any brand or
marketing initiative.
DA has signed a contract with a TV
broadcaster and developed 2 new
applications for mobile and desktop
Yomego Mobile Pets is a Tamagotchi style
game featuring 3D animated characters and
intelligent game play. Yomego Desktop
Buddies includes animated characters that
live on the PC and receive RSS feeds,
marketing push messages and allow users
to communicate with each other via mobile
and the internet.
Also on the business front, DA has
secured a number of significant new
distribution partners over the past few
months, including Jamster, Momentum,
PNC Telecom and iTouch.
DA has agreed terms for the worldwide
distribution of its Yomego mobile messenger
product with Jamster, best known for
launching the Crazy Frog and their intensive
TV and magazine campaigns. Jamster, which
operates across Europe, Australia and the
USA, will distribute all four of DA Group’s
Yomego, character ranges: StereoTypes,
WeeMee, Football Fanatics and Fantasy
Babe as well as a number of DA’s mobile
downloads. Both organisations believe the
Yomego product range perfectly suits the
thriving market for mobile entertainment
and personalisation and will be collaborating
closely on future marketing plans.
DA has also agreed terms for DA’s
Yomego character alerts and downloads to
be available through iTouch’s many
information and entertainment services,
including its brand leader, 8181Jippii.
However, in addition, they will collaborate
on the development of a product which will
deliver video messages, with a range of DA
characters and caricatures speaking with
the users own voice. It will be a mobile first,
with mobile entertainment in the form of
video messaging achieving new levels of
personalisation and uses DA’s patented
character animation technology. The phone
user will dial up a voice operated system
which asks them to choose a character and
record their message. The animated
character with perfect lip synchronisation is
then sent on to the recipient’s phone.
A deal with PNC Telecom will see DA’s
Yomego Alerts characters rolled out to
mobile subscribers across the UK. PNC’s
range of mobile services, from football goal
alerts to weather reports, has generated
consistent revenues since the birth of
premium mobile services back in the late 90s.
Yomego Alerts seamlessly converts
traditional voice or text files in to fully
animated mobile content. To the end user,
it means that their traditional text based
alerts for the football results or the news
headlines become much more compelling
and intuitive when presented by a lively
commentator in the form of a talking video.
These presenters are colourful, high quality,
3D characters full of expression and
emotion.
Darren Jones, managing director of PNC,
said: “We are highly delighted to be
working with such an innovative
technology company as DA Group and we
are very excited to be the first to market
with this service.”
DA has also struck a deal with
Momentum, a Scandinavian-based content
provider that operates through an extensive
network of retailers across most European
countries under their HOOHA brand. The
HOOHA brand and powerful retail
distribution network will sell DA’s full range
of Yomego video downloads, wallpapers and
messaging solutions directly to the consumer.
Momentum’s HOOHA brand
(www.hooha.net) is rapidly becoming the
leading provider of pre-paid mobile content
in both Europe and beyond, using their
exclusive network of retail distribution
channels, including Brightpoint, Seamless,
Alphyra and other leading retail
distributors, worldwide, using both pay-asyou-
go swipe card or voucher systems and
scratch card options to provide the easiest
and most ubiquitous ways to buy mobile

Group's new

content at the lowest end-user prices.
“Our Yomego messaging products have
attracted international interest and there is
a growing belief that this is the most
commercially attractive application of our
patented technology and creativity,“ said
Mike Antliff, CEO of DA Group.
“Yomego has been at the centre of an
increasing number of contracts and
negotiations. Network Operators and
content companies are seeking rich content
to support the new generation of picture
phones, but equally brands across the
whole spectrum of the entertainment
business are looking at ways to capitalise
on mobile communications. Characters
that are fun, entertaining, easy to use and
technically robust have tremendous
potential in this arena.
