At the time when DOO were supposedly contemplating a bid for (or an
involvement in) BFC I did post that I thought DOO were either very brave
or a little foolhardy because their announcement was bound to lead to
a certain amount of closer examination of DOO and its market capitalisation.
Seems to me that DOO's most significant asset is the residue of the cash
from their placing in the summer - and that since there are no other significant tangible assets (that I know of) and so far as we know at the
moment, no significant turnover/sales it is remarkable that the sp remains
at such a high multiple of nav. Based on nav the sp should really be somewhere
between 50p and 100p dependant upon the level of confidence in their long
term plans for the acquisition of jatropha seeds.
I stress that this is only my opinion and I may not be in possession of
all the info needed to arrive at a reasonable appraisal.
Would be happy to hear from anyone with their news/views of what the
company should be valued at - and why.
