Their financial year ends 31st October - How are next years results going to read if they've announced nothing new since the interims..? This company needs to prove they actually do some work - otherwise how can they expext the Market Cap to stay the same, regardless of how low it currently is. How about the restructuring announcement they keep promising but not delivering for starters?
14 April -> "Your Board is currently reviewing the way in which we structure our fees in order to reflect more accurately the nature of CYC's activities as a business adviser and facilitator, and not a portfolio investor. This review will investigate ways in which we can maximise returns to shareholders either by realising certain of our carried investments, enhancing our NAV or distributing income in terms of dividends. I would expect to be in a position to report our conclusions to shareholders before the half-year announcement."
20 May -> "your Board is reviewing the way in which CYC structures its revenue streams to better reflect its role as a business advisor and facilitator rather than a portfolio investor. I expect to report the Board's conclusions at the half-year"
29 July (at the half-year..!) -> "....It is one of a number of ways in which your Board is addressing the issue of how best to structure the Company's revenues to maximise returns to shareholders between fees earned and apitalised investments in IPO candidates. In light of an anticipated increase in activity in the first half of 2006, your Board is reviewing the optimum structure to achieve this and will report its conclusions in its report following the year-end."
Get off your arses CYC Board - and do some work to justify your existence. Anything! At least show you're prepared for the "anticipated increase in activity in the first half of 2006" - then people might believe the increase is actually coming...!
This sp will react positively to good news imho - but for fecks sake, they have to make people believe they actually do some work! The can't blame others for the delays in this report, like they did for the CAT.
Sorry - just putting off work. Still, valid points imho.
