I'm with Barclays. Cert. holder. Trade the same.
You have one week after the transaction to 'close the deal'.

Just phone, ask to 'close the deal' and the money, + or - will
be credited or taken from your a/c.

After 5 days you can not trade the share until you have the cert.

Thats what I was told, and have been acting on that advice for the
last year.
