not directly relevant and sorry meant to add that oil finds are going to be more and more dependent on technologies that the likes of CRA can provide in extracting from marginal or difficult sites.... the Brazilian find is large but looks hard to come by.
Its just a reference to the trouble that the oil majors will go to......
LONDON (AFX) - Corac Group PLC, the intellectual property and licensing
company, said it has achieved a significant milestone in the development of its
downhole gas compression technology.
It said it has concluded a detailed design review with major oil and gas
operators that will allow Corac to embark on the final stages of a development
programme that will run through 2006 into 2007.
"Budgets are now in place to manufacture and build six downhole gas
compressor modules," the company said, adding a field trial of a commercial
prototype in a producing gas well should be ready by 2007.
