Colt - 2005 New Year, New Highs.............

Well I don't mind saying that margin trading has helped me extend my position (although it has cost me £4000) to have done so, nevertheless I am holding some 5 times more stock in a spread bet than I could have afforded to have held.
The fundamental difference is the sum I have on deposit and therefore prepared to loose is somewhat different to the position I would have been in had I purchased the stock and therefore only lost a lesser amount (with the downward price). Either way, to me CTM was a punt and my position would have been speculative anyhow (but not quite to the same volume of stock).
