wasn't it news by Xmas?
bit late then, must be news out soon.
by the way: a general sector update on Sudan/Oman:
In Syria, Egypt, the Sultanate of Oman, and Yemen, things differ. Oil production is diminishing, while investments are funneled to build up gas reserves. Hence, such significant shortage is estimated at 600 thousand b/d compared with the output levels registered during the past decade. As local consumption soars, some countries, notably Egypt and Syria, are likely to import crude oil in the foreseeable future. This trend may be fortunately offset by Mauritania's blossoming though limited production in the upcoming months. In Sudan too, production is due to reach 3 million b/d by the decade's end.
