Not exactly - I've been waiting patiently for the share price to bounce up, but it was starting to test even my resolve. My reading of the charts suggested it would reach this level, but I had been anticipating that this would happen in the run-up to the results, not on bid speculation.

Alex thanks for putting me clear. Just like to add something. GLD are not up on bid Speculation! they are up becuase Constellation an outfit who buys other companies have bought a big chunk of GLD shares. Of course its not a done deal but also i think it is more than speculation. That and the independent bit about GLD stock for 2006 one to watch, makes me think this is a strong hold and a buy on weakness add to that, that the MMs happy to be buying stock at these higher levels not dropping the price much.
