Chaco Resources CHP (Moderated thread)

Hi everyone and a Happy New Year to you all. Let's hope it'll be a good one for CHP, and us as shareholders.

I am much more relaxed about things, having taken some time away from the computer over Christmas and the New Year - and digested the events of 2006.

It is interesting to see what the combination of holidays and two nice bits of news have done for the mood of most of the regular posters here! I think we are feeling a lot more positive now and there has been flurry of constructive posts over the past week or so.

NikkiBrookes AKA Fartin Martin caused some amusement with her/his posts and had some interesting things to say. However, without wishing to go over old ground there a couple of points I would like to make.

Nikki/Fartin: Sharesure (and many others) make a considerable contribution here in terms of sharing knowlegde and opinions. It is certainly not what I would call ramping. You appear to know what you are talking about so it would be interesting if you put your cards on the table and made a prediction/estimate for us about how things can progress and what this will mean for the sp. Put a figure on it if you like. (I am not having a go by the way - I'm genuinely interested in your view).

On a note of curiosity, I wonder if you are actually one of the CHP regulars working under a different guise. Maybe we will never know...

I'm not embarrassed about feeling optimistic as I believe there is good reason to be. For what it's worth (and I appreciate it's hardly scientific), the average end of year prediction here is about 80pence-ish - and we have a good selection of cynics, realists, optimists, experts, amateurs, long termers and traders to arrive at that figure. We are, sadly, lacking Victor, of course, and his 'prediction' for 2p.

Obviously, there are a lots of things that can go wrong between now and the end of the year and we are all taking a big gamble. As with a lot of bets we are going to rely on a mixture of fact and luck - and it could still all go horribly wrong.

But the element of risk is diminishing with each step forward - and we are a lot further forward now than at the start of 06 when the sp was at the same level. It seems to me that the only difference of opinion here (at the moment) is not whether the bet will pay off but how well.
