Ecopetrol are going into the same area on Peru/Colombian border in a big way.
Alea is on the northern edge of this 'basin' in the Putamayo area on Ecudorian border.
As we already have a gravel road into Alea I propose that the infrastructure in the immediate area may be improved soon. If there is going to be major development in the region then roads and tarmaced surfaces of roads already in existence, as with Alea, will be the first to happen.
I believe there will be plenty going on here soon, if not already happening.
It is also my guess that CHP's next field may be granted somewhere around here.
Maybe a licence that has expired, from another company slow on the uptake? Maybe even a company peripherally involved in the present set-up in Platanillo? Not saying anymore at present but things look good for an early start, and a bigger start at that, here.
Happy New Year to everyone.
I think it will get off to a good start; as long as Petrobras keep to their word of annoucing something positive regarding their drilling programme in Paraguay.
