A glimpse at the trading around the results of 7/12/04 indicates that there were plenty of 'mug punters' sucked in to buy on the back of apparently good results:
I don't believe for a minute that they had all seen the hole in CUC's accounts but "liked the gamble" and, but for Scrip's very prompt warning, I could have been among them. Surely the right response isn't to feel aggrieved at being shown to be wrong, but to learn from the experience. I've contributed to a number of threads (SUF, EVS etc) where warnings that all is not right have been ignored or even derided. I wouldn't be entirely surprised if it was the same punters going down in flames each time! So I don't mind being "told" by Scrip as often as he likes.
