veulands >> stick with the bigger players, you'll get better spreads and less in the way of margin.
IG Index or Cantors
pls note,
whilst i've only had my SB facility open for 4 months and yes it has been great in terms of gearing, (my previous six years has all been bought and held stuff thro my broker or thro Squaregain)
SB and CFD trading is very high risk. you can lose much more than any deposit placed to cover a position.
for example my £5000 per point on CEN my deposit is only £10k, so 25% required to cover the position,
if CEN fell to 3p, and my average for example was 8p, that would be 5p x 500000 = £25k, so my deposit would be wiped out and i'd still owe the SB company £15k.
the key to S Betting is not to get too carried away with the gearing, the true upside of S Betting is you don't pay CGT, which you do on CFD's and of course you can go short as well as long, which may be of value next year, as the markets in general could be volitile.
anyways best of luck, i never give advice but on this occasion with S Betting, go easy and don't over extend yourself.
