I think both companies, either individually or as a team, will need to get at least one project up to a point where it could be sold. And this will need to be done within 2 years. The share dilution could not go on indefinitely.
Look at the maths. If you find 1m ounces and flog it for 10% of it's value then you get £25m at today's prices. Of course if the gold price goes up, or you find more than 1m ounces, or a buyer is prepared to pay 20%....
This would easily fund aggressive exploration for 3-5 years during which time you get another site up to scratch, flog it...etc.
