Cardinal Resources, the oil and gas producer, which floated on AIM in April at 32p, added 3p to 25p as directors bought stock for £47,125. Robert Bensh, chairman and chief executive, purchased 125,000 shares at 21.95p, with Marcus Stanton, non executive, picking up 75,000 at 26¼p, taking their respective stakes to 1.3 million and 125,000 shares. Last week the company, which has interests in Ukraine, said that it had secured a $38 million (£22 million) bridge financing facility from Silver Point Finance to refinance loan notes and its joint venture with Ukrnafta.
