Can you stand the PACE?

Tony: Although internet based, I don’t think it is intended to be viewed through the PC. My cable and wireless broadband connection come through my Pace stb. I would of thought Sky’s new stb will have a broadband connection and that any subscriber based IPTV files will be stored on Sky’s hard disk within that box. The files could be sent around the home to secondary set top boxes (or a PVR2GO) but not to recordable devices. I assume you can’t record copies of premium films to a DVD or a PC from your sky+ box.

The BBC solution sound a lot like the BT’s IPTV service that is due to start in 2006.
