Ive got a storm brewing - I pulled into the Peter Island Hotel at the beginning of November to treat the wife at the end of a good 2 weeks charter in the BVI. I was staggered to discover that the overnight berthing charge had risen from $75 to $125 - just to tie up!!! Having swallowed that daylight robbery, we left a credit card swipe as we lashed up and settled the next morning in cash. I was therefore surprised to open the credit card bill on Friday to discover that they had slipped another $125 on that too. Two 'phone calls have yet to get anyone to call me back!
PS Moody tucked up in barn in Suffolk (I'm a farmer) for the winter.

Card people (with curious accents from somewhere round the Punjab) fairly useless!
I keep the Moody (336 "Tigris") at Levington aka the Suffolk Yacht Harbour sail on what I romantically refer to as the Ipswich Riviera!! Kids love the nearby Walton BackWaters, Mersea Island and the Blackwater is a great W/E trip to the South for fine oysters at the Company Shed whilst the Deben just to the North is a very pretty river, further up there is Orford, Aldburgh and Southwold. Levington also has the advantage of being at the mouth of 2 rivers so if the weathers dire in the North Sea there is more than one direction to go!
Next year planning on heading to France somewhere between Boulogne and St Vaast (any suggestions?) to meet up with a friend who keeps a Moody 346 in Southsea - or at least he did, seems to change marina down there every other year!
I am currently looking at several quotes for a cruising chute on my desk. Kemp's tri-radial is edging ahead of the running and the wife has been directed to a new spinnaker pole for my Christmas prezzie which at 4.2m looks rather fine wrapped up behind the tree!
