These stories will keep coming and coming until or unless NHS Trusts and Government wake up (not sure the Govt can do that now) and stop pointing the finger of responsibility at each other. If 1,000 people died in a single outbreak of food poisoning you can bet all concerned would be hung drawn and quartered, yet individual deaths from an increasingly common and preventable cause count for very little it seems. You'd think they'd be tearing down BYOT's door now there's proof positive that their products can cost effectively save lives.
Building a more caring society is so far from this government's reach it isn't funny any more...
