With reference to the current year they have been funding some big capital projects. They have purchased a large area of land ( maybe ten hectares) adjoining the factory at Hull to improve transport movements in an out and to provide more storage area for finished units. This has been surfaced and surrounded with a secure fence. When we visited at the beginning of December we were told that annual production was around 9000 high spec units. At the time there were about 800 in stock. Had the impression that this was higher than normal, but typical for the time of year. Also they have recently purchased new premised for BK/Bluebird at Poole, Dorset, and moved the production to the new premises; the old ones were leased.
Tipped in the Fleet Street Letter. However their research is a bit confused as they don't seem to be able to make the distinction between holiday momes and touring caravans. From another source, Cosalt forsee a drop in demand due to shrtage of pitches on which to sell new holiday homes. Most are already occupied and sales are dependent on part exhanges.
