WCN has commissioned Outokumpu Finland the World's leading flotation specialists to undertake flotation test work on all samples in consultation with the company's technical consultants Atomaer Technologies.

independent geological consultants SRK will be concluding the JORC compliant
resource statements now that drilling has been completed. Flotation test work
to be carried out by Outokumpu Finland, is expected to be completed by the end
of the first quarter of 2006, which will allow the Company to design and
construct its pilot plant operations which will form part of the definitive
feasibility study".

The progress and results of the Project to date have been positive and following the successful completion of the drilling programme, the Company will provide an independent JORC compliant resource statement over the coming months.

The flotation test work being carried out by Outokumpu Finland, is expected to
be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2006, facilitating the design
and construction of pilot plant operations which will provide a significant
input to the definitive feasibility study. The pilot plant testwork will
demonstrate and optimise the process and flowsheet using representative samples
of sulphide nickel tailings from Leinster.

This drill program will allow the Company to finalise an independent JORC
compliant resource statement over all three storage facilities. This assessment
will be undertaken by AMC Consultants.

The flotation test work being carried out by Outokumpu Finland, is expected to
be completed within the next two months, upon which the design and construction
of pilot plant operations will be finalised. The pilot plant testwork will
demonstrate and optimise the process and flowsheet using representative samples
of sulphide nickel tailings from Leinster and is a key stage in the completion
of the definitive feasibility study.

Selected drill samples will be assayed for their nickel content with the
majority of the material collected being sent to Outokumpu Finland for
completion of the flotation test work.

*Note: Tailing-composited assay grades are calculated from the arithmetic
average grades of the tailings-only intervals for each drillhole. Average grades have not been length weighted and will be announced with the JORC report. The grades in the table do not reflect the average grades of the entire tailings storage facilities.

700kg of composite samples from the drilling programme have been sent to
Outokumpu Finland for further recovery test work in order to finalise the bench
scale flotation test evaluation programme as a prelude to the larger scale pilot plant facility.

The pilot plant flotation test work programme is designed to confirm the initial laboratory scale test results achieved by Outokumpu Finland. The initial Outokumpu test results are encouraging, but the full results are not expected to be available until the end of October 2006. Test work by Outokumpu is continuing on sample material recovered from the phase 2 drill programmes at BHP Billiton's Leinster Nickel operations in Western Australia, in particular the large TSF 3 facility. This is in line with the Tailings Supply Agreement entered into with BHP Billiton in February 2005.

Call me cynical but if there were any good results I'm sure we would have been told.
