I think that the BLVN management are well aware of their unpopularity in the city right now. Against that backdrop, they would have been mad to ramp the shares on the 19th by giving any information beyond the bare minimum. Had they suggested the presence of hydrocarbons only to return and break the news that the find was uncommercial - the management's credibility and longevity would have been questioned further. In short, I don't think that anything can be made of their necessarily curt statement last week.
