BLACK ROCK OIL: CHARTS, RESEARCH AND DISCUSSION (moderated)
Jimarilo - Wed, 03 Jan 07 :
vav,
1)The RNS of the 1st December, confirmed the the testing of 49/8c-4 was complete and gave the flow test results
Suspension of the well was not the main reason for the announcement, even if the well flowed 50mmcfd it would be suspended, until infastructure allows production
2)The link in my previous post, as below, states the Noble Kolskaya's status is "drilling"
This could be a bit of a clue that the rig is actualy drilling ;-)
3)Re-entering a well that was first spud in September is a continuation of current works as far as Wintershall maybe concerned. (The DTI are the only ones that need to official confirmation on suspensions and re-entries etc)
Wintershall tell you they plan to drill 12 wells in 06 and thats it !
Check-out their web-site and see how often they announce spudding a well let alone a continuance........never www.wintershall.com
"Wintershall has been active in the Dutch sector of the North Sea since 1965 via its subsidiary Wintershall Noordzee B.V. Today, it is one of the largest producers of natural gas in the Netherlands and operates 25 offshore platforms. Over the last five years, Wintershall has invested around 350 million euros in this part of the North Sea. In 2005, the company took part in five completed appraisal wells and exploration wells as well as five production wells, which all discovered reservoirs. For this year alone, another twelve wells are planned for this part of the North Sea."
If it wasn't for Carrizo letting slip two lines in their finals that drilling was completed, we wouldn't have had the announcement of the 13th November.
Black Rock had a meeting with Wintershall 14th/15th December and we have heard nothing. My guess is Wintershall are keeping things tight as before
We knew the situation re: 49/8c-4 on the 1st December I am sure they knew before then and things would have been moving swiftly from way back then
Imo of course ;-)
