HOUSE PRICES dropped 0.2% last month, following a 0.9% rise in November, according to Nationwide building society. The 12-month rate of house-price inflation fell from 15% to 12.7%, its lowest for three years. 2004 was the fourth consecutive year of double-digit house-price inflation. The average house rose in value by £17,000 during the year to £152,623.
