Lloyds non-exec makes first purchase

LONDON (SHARECAST) - Non-executive director of Lloyds TSB Jan Petrus du Plessis has bought shares in the group for the first time.
Plessis, who joined the board in October 2005, acquired 10,000 shares at 482p at a total cost of £48,000.
Last week, the UK bank said it was making continued steps forward but was finding higher levels of consumers were unable to pay their bills.
“Against the backdrop of slower growth in consumer lending, Lloyds has experienced lower levels of growth in unsecured consumer lending, with a deterioration in credit quality as more customers experienced repayment difficulties,” said the bank
