A Happy New Year to one and all! Hope this message doesn’t find you too blurry eyed still – just wait until the clebrations we’ll be having when BPRG goes into orbit – it will be this year………

Anyway, just been looking back at my investments over recent times and see an awful thing – barely made anything on this share! Now it seems I stuck £20k in at 0.70 on 30/12//2004 and we are still south of that – incredible isn’t it. Shows that traders have had the run of this share all along and us numpties who just sat still like me got nothing except for an early stage ulcer probably. Then I wacked another £5k in at £0.485 on 1/12/05 and a further £5k on 22/12/05 at £0.57 as I was so sure our new strategy would finally awaken the IP potential of our technologies while securing the revenue streams we needed to stay afloat.

So on those little investments I have shown about 15% profit, but it took more agony than is probably good for you before even that little glimmer of hope in the early autumn.

So here we all are again reckoning this is going to be the year! Well, there is every reason to stick with the company now, that’s for sure, as the downside is so limited to make sleeping at night a given now. But when I review the previous two years and see the current SP at 68p – I know that we mustn’t expect anything outrageous in terms of SP readjustment. My averaging down still leaves me at 80p and a far too topsided portfolio. But this year will see a solid performance with every prospect of a very real surge at any time soon.

Just glad I’ve held a safe stock for as long – Morrisons from £1.70 to £2.50 gave me 38% in 20 months and enough dividends to pay the utilities. Be nice to have BPRG paying its way so well, eh?

So to end this rant, and as it’s the season for everyone and his uncle to make predictions or resolutions, mine will be that the SP will top my 80p average within a week and £1.20 by the full year results – which will be in profit by £4m. From there all bets are of as to the end-of-year target as a takeover must still loom large if we aren't careful, but I would see £1.75 at least. And I resolve to trade BPRG better when these upward movements happen. Not normally my style, but I can’t take any more just sitting and watching unless I do.

Good luck to all Longtermers.
