Does BioProgress have any new products coming into the market in the near future?
BioProgress has a number of products that will come to market within the US by mid-2007. These products are predominantly within the Soluleaves™ format and will be complimentary within the portfolio of products that was acquired from Airpharma.
Products are being developed both out of Cambridge and the Tampa facilities for Soluleaves™, Solupol and TabWrap™/EntWrap technologies. Development milestones and partnerships for the TabWrap™/EntWrap are anticipated within the first half of 2007. BioProgress is planning to have its own first product available for the US market ready for launch by the end of 2007. This product is classed as an OTC medicine .
Of the new products what therapeutic markets are being targeted?
The products in the US portfolio are within the respiratory therapeutic area, including cough and cold. An Ah-Chew thin strip is currently in development and the Company will be launching this in time for the main 2007 cough and cold season.
In addition, products within the anti-allergy market are being developed with the aim to target the 2007 summer season. By the development of both anti-allergy products and respiratory products, it is aimed to create a balanced revenue stream and reduce seasonal sales peaks.
BioProgress is still developing its franchise in patient supportive care with the roll out of Hypozalix™. The Company is planning to extend this franchise with additional products using soluble polymer technology in order to help patients with swallowing difficulties. BioProgress is looking to in-licence/partner additional complimentary technologies in order to accelerate its revenue streams within this area.
When will revenues be generated with these developments?
We expect to see an revenues in 2007 with the launch of our own brands of our developments through Dexo LLC. In addition, these developments are being partnered with other partners in territories throughout the world. Significant interest has been generated in our development pipeline. BioProgress has increased its business development resources with over 25 distributors in late stage discussions. These will bring revenues either as milestones, supply agreements or profit shares early in 2007.
What is happening to the other technologies?
BioProgress has an aggressive commercialisation strategy based around products. TabWrap™ and its sister EntWrap are key important technologies for the Group and BioProgress is on track to place its first machine in a cGMP environment by the end of the year. The target of starting stability programs for products by the end of Q2 2007 is still on track. Commercial discussions are ongoing with several significant partners.
Will BioProgress use the NRobe system to develop products for its sales and marketing business Dexo BioPharm?
BioProgress has developed a close working relationship with FMC regarding the technology. At least one product has already been identified for development in 2007 with another 3 in initial feasibility.
When will BioProgress start receiving revenues from SoluPol technology?
BioProgress will be receiving revenues based upon development milestones in early 2007 working with partners. It is anticipated that commercial revenues will commence in late 2007. SoluPol technology will be applied to novel formulations of products that have been recently acquired within the United States of America.
When will BioProgress receive revenues?
BioProgress will be receiving revenues immediately from the existing product base and will make a net profit contribution to Group revenues in 2006. Products have been developed in anticipation of the acquisition and are looking to launch Soluleaves™ formulations in time for the 2007 Cough and Cold season. Products are currently being developed using BioProgress's new SoluPol enabling technology platform
BioProgress anticipate transferring these branded products out of the US subject to regulatory approvals.
When will we see products on the market?
BioProgress has recently launched Ronflux thin strips and OTS Caffeine through its French subsidiary, Dexo SA. We expect to launch further products in the French market by the end of 2006. We expect to see the growth in revenues in the second half of 2006. The management expects to launch other OTC thin strip products in the US within the second quarter of 2007. A number of these OTC products will be submitted for EU regulatory approval at the same time.
