When I used to invest in a much wider range of stocks than I do now I more or less took it for granted that a good RNS would, in the absence of special circumstances, see an initial profit-taking fall or some sort of a delayed effect dip. Institutions like to meditate and discuss before plunging in if the investment is to be viewed as a long term one. As this is already holiday time for many, decisions will be even longer delayed than usual. The greatest investor of them all, Warren Buffett, used to decide the price he wanted to pay for a stock, then wait, and wait, and wait until he got what he wanted. Impatience is a killer for an investor.
Good luck in any case, Bertie
