Thank you, a very interesting and thought provoking article.
I have been playing devil's advocate and copying and pasting bits of the article (verbatum) together so it might be possible to maybe join a dot or two here and there.....
The way it can possibly be read is.....we have the technology, we have the authority from FMC to use NROBE to develop our own products. Insulin is a generic product already in the marketplace. We are verticallly integrated, so have the capacity to take insulin, encapsulate it uniquely - using our own patented technology and market it under our own brand name using our own distribution chain in the Europe and the US. Oh, and by the way - I believe that entitles us to all the financial rewards for doing so! Think about it folks.....
Its all there if you read the article (its a bit like the Da Vinchi code - remember RT is a lawyer and therefore trained not to say anything straight - a bit like our "esteemed" leader Tony, except RT is on-side with us!) and stitch together the relevent bits.
I quote:
"Many pharmaceutical companies have problem drugs. These include friable or fragile tablets, which represent a range of problems for pharmaceutical companies. However, problem drugs are not limited to friable tablets and BioProgress’ technologies can overcome a range of traditional problems and the technologies can be used to add value"
"The information being released by BioProgress points towards an active product development programme that is focused on delivering revenues and added value; particularly in markets with large unmet needs"
"While NRobe is licensed to FMC the RNS does raise the prospect of BioProgress developing its own products using NRobe for Dexo to market"
"BioProgress also has the capability to develop products itself (or co-develop) and this creates a further range of partnering options. Richard is keen to stress that BioProgress is not in the business of developing drugs but in the business of developing products. Thus, for example, BioProgress could take known generic molecules and develop new products"
"Richard is reluctant to go into the products that BioProgress could develop but the company’s website refers to the capability to orally deliver proteins and peptides. These drugs include insulin, beta-interferon and erythropoietin"
"Being a Drug Delivery Systems company means that BioProgress it applying working technologies to known compounds. It may do so to produce novel and new products; and this creates exciting opportunities with reasonable levels of risk but with the potential of large rewards"
"These developments can, in pharmaceutical terms, be low risk and rapid"
If what I think is happening....is actually happening in the background, the commercialisation of NROBE by FMC and TABWRAP will be interesting but by comparison, a little sideshow.
This is not a ramp or a deliberate attempt to distort or twist facts, just taking known facts, piecing them together and making a possible picture. Many many other possibilities no doubt exist too.
No wonder FMC were shitting themselves to re-negotiate the contract in return for a piece of the action.......when they realised NROBE's potential.
Except however, the "piece de resistance" is that I think RT has rather skillfully outmanoeuvered them, by gaining access to the technology so we might be able to develop and sell "blockbuster" NROBE products under our own license, perhaps paying FMC a royaly to produce them for us.
Imagine Bio being the only company in the world with the patented technology to produce orally deliverable insulin.
Now what might that be worth to the bottom line........???
How damned cunning is that !
A masterstroke I call it.
Perhaps I'm wrong, but that's how it sort of comes together in my mind.....
Thoughts anyone?
