0906 GMT [Dow Jones] Bridgewell initiates BTG (BGC.LN) at buy with a 270p target. The key driver is Varisolve, a treatment for Varicose veins which has been allowed to restart Phase II trials by the FDA. Recent deals, and positive news on its Intellectual Property, suggests the group's portfolio is much better positioned than for some time, it adds. "With a partner for Varisolve expected in the next 6 months, further cost cutting and a strong cash position, BTG could be break-even in '07." Trades flat at 215.5p. (AST)
