BG Group plc announces that on 21st December 2005 it purchased 1,200,000 of its
ordinary shares at a price of 571.7406 pence per share. It is intended that
these shares will be held in Treasury.
Following the purchase, BG Group plc holds 4,340,000 of its ordinary shares in
Treasury and has a total of 3,544,149,614 ordinary shares (excluding shares held
in Treasury) in issue.
