Two years ago Mrs T and I looked very seriously at selling everything and buying a hobby farm in NS and being fully self suffecient and even though we could not get enough points to live there permanately we planned to go ahead and just nip to USA for a week now and then to stay within the 6 month rule! I did have a contact out there who sold everything for a better life for his family and came back to the UK for a month every year in the summer before going back. I think he started helping brits buy property out there or something, not sure if he still does it though (I will check).I still keep a close eye on property out there but exchange rates are not as good as when I first looked but still there is so much nice land etc out there to build on if thats what peeps are looking for.
How do you find it out there? Have to add that I still have not been out there as other things kept cropping up plus at the time I just did not have enough cash behind me to be so sure of the move and chickened out!!!
With Zoom setting up, the cost of flights looks more reasonable that's for sure!
Like lburby I would be interested in your views on NS if you have the time over the weekend before we get told off for O/T comments ;)
