cheers ruffjp - appreciate the comments - part of my research did reveal that one of the -ve's of an LCD is that there is an element of bluring when watching 'fast motion' programs like football/sports ... another +ve in favour of the plasma I think.

Note also that over the next year or 2 there will be far more HD applicable channels viewable on SKY and cable.
