The following was printed in 2000....note the cost of the 2,000MW power station/mine mentioned then was MORE than $2.5 Billion , I would suggest that six years on costs have risen by circa 30% minimum


A study indicated that a 9-Mt/yr open cut minewith a project life of 35 years would be economically viable. The company envisaged the development of a 2,000-megawattpowerplant with the coal project. Total cost of the mine and powerplant would be more than $2.5 billion.
