A two-day training for the farmers of the phase ended Saturday at Phulbari, said a press release.
The UK-based company, which submitted a proposal to the government to develop the country's first coal mine at Phulbari, initiated the project to help the local farmers to overcome their possible production loss, caused by the mine.
The project first got underway in the current Kharip-2 season and selection of the farmers and land for the second phase has been completed. Other activities have also been started with the assistance of the Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE), Phulbari for this season.
