Hatto - Sun, 01 Jan 06 :

A very happy & prosperous New Year to all my reader(s).

My lucky run continues & for the twelth week in a row I have done very well.

I have 11 shares.....5 Up...2 Flat...4 Down.

The FTSE (Up from 5596 to 5618) & the DOW (Down from 10887 to 10717)

*********************************************************

This list is of my safer, more significant plays.

ASHTEAD (AHT). Up on the week from 178.5p to 182p....As well as having excellent results AHT has recently had Broker Buy upgrades....EVOs from 165p to 198p & UBS 200p to 220p. PMUR have not altered 200p as yet.

RETAIL DECISIONS (RTD). Up on the week from 127p to 132p.

LONDON (AFX) - Retail Decisions PLC, the card issuer and card fraud
prevention and payment processing group, said it has gained Harvey World Travel
Ltd, an Australian travel company, as its first UK gift card client.

Gift cards are pre-paid cards that allow a pre-determined amount of money to
be loaded onto a card by the purchaser that can then be used by the recipient to make one or multiple purchases.

This first UK customer win comes weeks after ReD acquired E Com Industries,
an Australian electronic gift card operator, the group said.

NEWMARK SECURITIES (NWT).Down on the week from 1.6p to 1.5p. No news this week.

GW Pharmasuticals (GWP) Up on the week from 116p to 149p...Having closed my #3.200/1p Spreadbet the SP appears to be a lot stronger. I´m still holding some bought & paid GWP shares.

ELAN (ELA). Down on the week from 11.75 euros to 11.12 euros. No news this week.

CENES PHARM (CEN) Flat on the week at 7.75p. No news this week.

*********************************************************
These two are both spread bets for me & are speculative oil/gas plays.

PETREL RESOURCES (PET). Up on the week from 51p to 52p... No news this week.

FORTUNE OIL (FTO). Up on the week from 5.8P to 5.88p. No news this week.

*********************************************************

These three are my longer term plays....ie I should not (in hindsight) have bought them when I did....but am happy to keep them....The main reason for keeping them is that I bought them for my SIP & cannot offset CGT losses.
Lesson learnt in that department. "Only safe plays should go into SIPs & ISA's".

Scotty (SCO). Down on the week from 1.65p to 1.5p. No news this week.
