Ashtead (AHT) - The recovery continues

What i like also about AHT is the daily 1% rises.

Im not one to fault Hatto, but i think one of your mistakes this year has been trying to find the next AHT ... i.e. looking for small penny stocks that will do an AHT.

This year has been quite a learning curve for me and could be a turning point where i go of to make some big money ... iv learnt its better to be in Large caps then small caps.

Look at 2005 some great FTSE100 stocks such as Persimmon have made 82.1% gains

Rolls Royce up 78.2%

Carine Energy up 76.2%

BAE Systems 65.6%

Royal & Sun Alliance 62.3%

All in the FTSE100 with AMAZING gains and Small spreads and a dividend! I think people can make about 20% average from Large cap stocks, for a £200,000 pot thats equivalent to £40,000 more then the average salary. The beauty is you dont have to watch for large swings every minute of the day like you do with Small caps.

There are a few good small caps but many losers, i think i would be interested in small caps in exceptional circumstances or when we have a crash as they tend to get overdone thus presenting an excellent opportunity to make quick dime. Im still heavy overloaded with OIL stocks, i still believe we will have a bumper year come Spring 06.
