Massive trades today (25 million shares). I don't think sellers would get middle price. Large sales usually get LESS than the bid price let alone the offer or mid price !! (see trades for today and the sales late on). Buyers of large blocks in a stable share price can usually get them for slightly less than offer price as the market makers still make a turn and a reasonable profit given the size of the trade in £'s. So, I think the middle price trades (16 million shares ?) were PURCHASES.
This business is only worth £40M (at 5p a share) and generates profits before interest charges of £15M (or so). Even after the interest it runs at a P/E of under 15 doesn't it. Once the debt is reduced / refinanced (interest rate is to high at present and the company has said refinancing to reduce this is a priority) things will be better. There's still some money due from an I.O.U. from the sale of a USA subsidiary too isn't there ? I can see the P/E under 5 in next couple of years (which won't actually happen as the price will rise to balance this if it happens).
I reckon this will fly soon but does anyone know what's really going on ? Is the top man building a stake ??
