Jeez Brainclamp! turn the screws down a tad. Now put some meat to the allegations re corupt accounting. Also if you knew what you were talking about you would know that the earnouts on the buyouts were all target led and have been renegotiated heavily in favour of the shareholders. Please point out a thread and or comment from the time the deals were originally struck which portrayed them as disadvantageous, I think you cant, in fact I know you can't. Then lets also accept the fact that deals struck then looked fine back then and not so fine in todays very different climate. Lets also accept the fact that if the earnouts had been negotiated on either a cash basis or fixed number of shares at inception and not on a share equivalent of cash, which ended up causing the catastrophic slide in the share price, there would have been a lot less for the sceptics to get after and Anite would have avoided some of the steep decline in its price which was fed by the visous spiral of the lower the price the more dilutive the earnouts.
As for the directors taking the cash for their options that was incredibly crap timing and I am with you that they should have taken less, but they were entirely within their rights to do so. If I were sitting on a paper fortune I would certainly take some while I could. As would more or less everyone, there is nothing corrupt here.
And whats this about pension funds? What effect are you implying this will have on the shareprice.
