Don, as with the LCP Fund these things take time - I'm sure Vietnam have plenty of scope for growth yet, they're still a young country development-wise (I went there in the early nineties - believe me, they had a loooooooong way to go!).
Nice article in the IC today about LDC as part of an article by the Companies Editor reviewing his Bargain Shares that he'd picked for 2006.
He states that the share price made only a small advance in 2006 despite "stellar progress"
- they raised £50m for LCP for which they get 2% fees per annum plus 20% of NAV uplift
- the value of LDC's investments is "significantly" above cost
- adviser to 5 AIM companies and 8 on Plus and elsewhere
- made a £713k PTP in H1'06
- the low share price is unwarranted as the the m/cap is 17% below the last NAV and ignores the value of the asset management arm
And he doesn't even mention the upcoming corporate action.
