I take it Grant Mac has flown out to the land of Oz
already. Have a good break.
Although I do think there is something not right
with the share price movements of AMU. I don't think
the Board has been up to anything untoward or trying
to hide the true financial state of the company.
I say that as shareholder who attended the AGM and
and asked the Board several questions of concern that
have been raised on this B.B. I also took the opportunity
to visit the Distribution Centre (at the Board's invitation
and their own expense)to see their operation at first hand.
Along with Grant Mac we spent several hours chatting with
the Redworth Management Team. I came to the conclusion quite
some time ago that shareholders are suffering from poor
decisions made earlier in the year. Some investors/traders
on here have pointed to the AGM Statement as being misleading
but I don't agree. JF said something along the lines that ''the
underlying strength of the business is good''. The Interims
showed that the distribution business is performing well and
Legacy Entertainment in North America. CD sales in the UK were
down by 12% and DVD sales down in the UK by 74%. Which was not
surprising considering Hollywood DVD.
Prior to the Interims I made several posts predicting that
results would focus on the strategic review and identifying
cost savings. The move of Head Office and integration of
all the different systems of Air Group was the result.
Several posters prior to the Interims claimed that AMU was
near to financial collapse which was showed to be a lie.
What is worrying is that they predicted that the share price
would collapse to near 1p which was and is pretty close to the
mark. I think all of us should be worried about that because I
don't put that down to pure guess work.
I think a few of the posters like me who have continued to
to hold onto the shares have done so because of the fundamentals
and growth potential of the company.
I fully agree with Steve Bond's earlier post that solid results
(without write-offs) will see a re-rating of the share price
as simple as that.
On a positive note there is an interesting article on the an ADVFN competitor
website (www.an ADVFN competitor.com) titled 'December retail sales boom'.
If the Jan 06 Trading Statement is good we should all have a
better year holding AMU. I reckon there will be an increase in
'buying' volumes ahead of the Trading Statement and I just hope
it continues afterwards. Next year promises to be make-or-break
time for AMU. My monies on the Redworth Team coming up trumps.
