Hey, no disagreement from me CP. You've not posted any misleading nonsense on this thread. My motivation is mostly altruistic. Stupid as it is, some novice investors will always get sucked in by ramping without adequately doing their own research. I was guilty of this when I started and I'm sure this applies/will apply to many that started/will start investing during the on-line age.

Jon, you sense a quiet excitement about PRE? Blimey. What would you class a loud excitement then?! :-)

Not actually true of the smallcap E+P oil sector - many of them have strong fundamentals underpinning the price and have no future finds built in. PRE's not far off that situation itself. The 'problem' is the serious money is expecting a massive fall in oil prices next year (not going to happen IMO) and has failed to take into account the fact that the ratings are so low that most of these companies could support such a drop and STILL be fundamentally quite cheap. There's an enormous potential here I feel - around 25% of my portfolio is in this sector.

Not saying whether this is or isn't true for PRE, but consider QXL,Durlacher and any number of shares in the '90%' club to see that widespread interest CAN be generated for nothing.
