I wouldn't buy hoodia online. Its a protected and rare plant, its unlikely they could make enough plants to put a meaningful amount in the pill, and if they did how do you know if its safe?
If it does sate the appetite then I'd want to know what it would do for anorexics?
Lets examine your claim above and prove its bullshit.
"Contains an extract equivalent to 10g of plant". How do they extract it and how do they know that the active ingredient is in the extract? Normal extractions are performed by mixing the powder with some alcohol or another solvent - this separates the soluble parts from non soluble ones and in theory would leave the cellulose and other non digestable parts behind. But I doubt this company knows the formula of P57 or how to measure it. Its certainly not easy and it may be that p57 is insoluble and is left behind.
Assuming that they are extracting 10g of powder for each pill and you get 50pills per package. Thats 500g of hoodia per sale. The hoodia succulent grows to about 40cm in height and is somewhat difficult to grow. Each plant would weigh about 15kg (and that is a high estimate). So they need one plant for every 30 bottles of pills - where exactly are they growing these? It is a protected species and not freely available for export.
