"Bulk samples from kimberlites BK5, AK9, AK17, AK18 and AK19 were treated in Johannesburg. The diamonds results are listed below –

"Seven holes were drilled into kimberlite AK19 (1.6 ha from drilling), of which three were 6.5-inch percussion holes (drilled for delineation purposes), and four were 12-inch (reverse flood) LDD holes (drilled in order to make a preliminary assessment of the economic potential of the kimberlite). No diamonds were recovered from 79 tons of kimberlite material."

Question: Why two sets of results for one kimberlite with the first result diamondiferous and the second no diamonds and a smaller tonnage??
