Do you trade solely on charts or do you use other factors? I only use charts as an aid rather than anything concrete, the only info I take much notice is lines through the lows and high to detemine support and resisance levels and the general trend. once the trend is established I look at volume on the up and downs to determine the 'strength' of the moves.
Only if general economic fundamentals, sector and stock fundamentals are good do I tend to take a 'long' stance.
I know some seem to put a enormous faith in 'technical analysis', frankly I think its psudeoscience unless it is based on a mathematical formula which has been rigerously tested. It obviously failed that test otherwise everyone would be using it and everyone would be making money without risk - which is clearly stupid.
