RD:
Turning point it might well be. Copper has been slipping very slowly over the past few days and the price has been erratic. At start of trading today the price ($/lb) dropped again sharply. People seem to be getting itchy fingers, but it may not right to predict a dramatic collapse just yet, or at all.
At year end (or close to it), 1yr. LME copper stocks chart suggests inventory is growing very very slowly, but growing nonetheless.
Of course, if the price does drop a lot, all those holding off purchases will be tempted. That may force the price up again. D'oh!
