fwiw i think you are right.

Re-think through CCT each & everyday questioning investment which for me is a large sum of money.On the plus`side profits of sharedealing only and not single penny of original capital.

Downsides talking out loudly can think of three (i)3i sell shares (ii)factory/warehouse which produces & stores CCT products burns down or problems with production/distribution and (iii) 3i and or other buys CCT out.

(i)Is possible but unlikely for reasons covered in numerous posts on thread.

(ii)Happened to ASOS,Ideal Shopping random & out of any company's control.Mothercare cocked up warehouse distribution somehow unable to find stock in a third party warehouse.All three stocks recovered from these disasters.

and

(iii)CCT gets bought out.Exceptionally successful smaller company with expertise no.1 top seller must be attractive to bigger fish.

CCT fell off my radar as had always intended having a dabble when better times returned.Affection for recovery stocks AHT et seq. Forgot to however came to my attention on potential 75p breakout which looked 100% certainly.Highlighted on MPH favoured posting thread.Made a few foolish comments on CCT thread on intraday movements around that time and did not invest heavily.Strategy at time spread £1,250 to £1,500 across handful of stocks & sectors.

The deeper delved considering broadly as i do fundementals,chart, trends,news, announcements,general information, views and opinions on thread CCT struck me as very strong buy @ 100p.Hence activity and want to join in with long term regulars here highlight on this thread.All here to make money,the more the merrier.

Initially did not understand where suggested 220p buyout price was plucked from.Previous knowledge of Character and limited knowledge of charting suggested to me target price of 150p.Number crunching by Studhaves of great help as i'm not a number cruncher of company accounts,more able to cast an eye over other peeps work.Call me a lazy bugger.

Your & Fido's posts have proved invaluable which all taken together have left me in no doubt about what the estimated value of CCT is and potential worth.

Yes CCT cocked up with Star Wars that is past history.Individuals and companies can learn from and stronger for them.Experts usually become so learning from mistakes. As you suggest CCT are capable of delivering success year upon year and this is where looking at 10 year chart take the view that CCT would return to previous highs between 300p and 450p if "allowed" to do and ever greater potential working with 3i.

There may be factors have not taken into account.I'm happy with a 150p target price & realistic buyout price of 220p+.

In looking and considering any share look for mention of superlative and future news.In CCT case superlatives with a capital "S" and ending in "s" plural....significantly above,record sales,double digit growth.

Future news look no further than next month,JANUARY.In no specific order:

1.Charles Stanley update,strong buy and upgrade conservative upgrade.

2.Sharewatch.Update on CCT their NAP 2007 and undoubtedly strong buy recommendation.

3.CCT Trading Update to include record sales and profit upgrade.

Correct me if i'm wrong but haven't Charles Stanley,Sharewatch and Company have said as much?

Satisfied with 2007 estimate of share price 132p + 16p cash = 158p

Then add in:

1.£4m CCT due to receive in February 2007

2.International and Global growth

3.Proactive investor 3i importantly with 3i on CCT board.

and...and...and...

This all suggests to me good value at current levels.

Pays your money and makes your choices.Shares go up and down.Do not invest money you cannot afford to tie up and or lose.All that said imvho CCT is a genuine growth share with credible year on year growth.Progressive dividend policy means from a 100p buying price potential yield of 5% upwards IF not bought out within a few years.


Target price (initial)150p and then review upside potential.Holding and taking a 2 year view waiting 200p+.

On the way up supports and resistances 100p, 110p, 115p, 120p, 125p, 130p....trading 100p-125p.Waiting on confirmed breakout above 125p.

These are personal simple views as i'm not that clever.I know what i'm hearing and seeing about CCT,products and smell success.As expressed everyone loves a winner.Hopefully that comes with a premium north of 125p! lol.aimvho,dyor.

p.s.January Divi of 1.65p still up for grabs. Must get better April results and later in year November surely? How many potential profit upgrades can investors take?!
