John v, What i think of Zetar is it will be a good long term play, It seems to have one huge asset over all other small confectionery firms on the market. Having worked in the chocolate industry(distant past albeit) the majority of confectionery firms do not have a capacity for actually producing chocolate couveture!! they buy it in from large producers such as callebut and Brittania Superfine in liquid form. Glisten has to do this and many cake/biscuit firms do this as do the smaller specialist chocolate firms. This may seem not important to you, but to manufacture chocolate takes huge amounts of capital to buy processing equipment therefore the entry point of this industry is massive and very limited thats why so few firms can manufacture. To make my point Zetar own Kinnerton which to the best of my knowledge from limited research can produce chocolate couveture themselves in fact they manufacture for some of the countries leading brands as I have been lead to believe. this means they have a massive market open to them. I think they will take over smaller speciality confectionery firms that probably cant produce chocolate themselves and this will give Zetar the chance to put together a portfolio of quality brands whilst being able to do the backroom couveture manufacturing inhouse.
